Cross Sector Strategy and Facilitation

Real change requires the people funding, delivering, and living the outcome to move together.

Why Now

The Urgency

48%

of recent graduates feel prepared to even apply for entry-level jobs in their field, but 89% of educators believe their students are workforce-ready.

38 million +

earn above the federal poverty line but still can’t afford the basic cost of living where they work.

77%

of leaders report that silos are hindering both strategy execution and innovation.

The Challenge

Improving outcomes in areas like early childhood or healthcare or workforce development means aligning systems that were never designed to operate together. No amount of goodwill in the room changes the fact that the structure of the systems themselves are the starting obstacle. And, the work that makes cross-sector change possible — trust, shared definitions, real alignment — often moves slower than the pressure for results allows. Downstream tensions are usually the result of skipping or box-checking that foundational work, which is why even well-intentioned coalitions quietly fall apart once funding cycles end.

The Approach

We start with the work that’s usually rushed: naming the tensions between sectors honestly, building a shared definition of success before assuming one exists, and giving a group time to actually trust each other before asking them to commit to a direction together. Disagreement isn’t something to manage down or smooth over. It’s the material the best solutions are built from.

That’s why the structure matters as much as the mindset: clear decision rights, a shared measurement system everyone actually uses, and a facilitation process designed to surface disagreement while honoring lived experiences. Every perspective shapes what the plan becomes,  evolving the solution until it holds enough of what everyone actually needs, not just what was easiest to agree on first.
